Irma (Hooper) Goodwine

Chair

  • Qengaralria

I am the daughter of the late Edward and Theresa Hooper. I was born in Dillingham and grew up in Tununak. I have been married to my husband for 31 years and have two beautiful daughters. As a young woman, I was determined to leave my village to get higher education so I can return to my region to assist our people. After receiving my BA in Social Work, I decided to move to Bethel where I have been working in the Social Service field for 34 years; 28 years with AVCP assisting Tribal members with disabilities.

Tununak will always be my home. It brings me gratitude that I am a part of making our community a better place by being on the TRC Board of Directors (for four years). This opportunity has given me a whole new perspective on how we can make our corporation healthy and striving for our shareholders.

I know the most important values to follow that I practice are Respect, Share, Love, Humility, Hard Work, Patience. These values are taught by our elders.

Michael D. Charlie

Director

  • Nemqerralria

I am the eldest child of Mark and Anna Charlie and eldest grandchild of Andy and Rose Charlie.  Growing up and getting raised in Tununak provided an integral part in who I am today, owing a sense of gratitude to my elders, community members, and leaders.  Their endless sacrifice in sharing wisdom and knowledge drives me to be an example, that if we put forth effort into something we want in life, we will succeed.

I've been a commercial pilot since the summer of '99, where I gained a sense of providing a service to others.  I aimed higher in that calling by returning to college to pursue a bachelor's degree in aviation with hopes of getting on with an airline.  Alaska Airlines hired me in October of '22, where I sit as a First Officer in the Boeing 737.

In November 2025, I got voted in for my first seat in the Board.  It has been an eye-opening experience and with everything that comes with this responsibility, I am down for the challenge to be a voice for our shareholders and a valuable team member for the Board of Directors.

With the changes we often see today, I am pleased to be working with a Board that holds the values, the traditions, and the culture we grew up with daily, and utilizing them in a manner where it is done respectfully and with the best interest of our shareholders in mind.

Georgianna (Oscar) Spear

Secretary

  • Atsaq
I am the daughter of the late Herman & Sophie Oscar. I was raised in Tununak, where our Yugtun language, traditions, and way of life are central to who we are.

Growing up in that environment shaped my identity and values. Service to our people has always been important to my family; my father in the past served on the Board in the same seat I now hold. I have served as a Board Secretary since 2022 and was recently re-elected to continue in this role through 2028. Aside from the Corporation, my current job is of an Accountant III in a school district.

My vast educational background and professional experience have guided the perspective I bring to the Board, allowing me to balance cultural values with sound governance and long-term planning.

My vision and goals are rooted in those of our ancestors, to honor the Corporation they established by protecting resources, strengthen opportunities for our shareholders, and ensure lasting benefits for future generations.
